Answer: No prior experience is required. This training provides a solid foundation in laser/IPL safety and is suitable for all levels of clinical experience.
Question: I’ve already had laser/IPL training from my supplier — do I still need this course?
Answer: Yes. Supplier-led training often focuses on how to operate your specific device, but this course covers your legal responsibilities under health and safety law — including what regulators expect from you. It follows the Core of Knowledge syllabus recommended for compliance and is independent, approved by the BMLA, and trusted by aesthetic professionals across the UK and Ireland.
Question: Is this the same as the Core of Knowledge training I’ve heard is required in the UK?
Answer: Yes. This course meets the requirements of the Artificial Optical Radiation Directive (AORD) and is specifically required for compliance in the UK. It’s also approved by the British Medical Laser Association (BMLA), which is the gold standard for laser safety education.
Questions: Will it be too technical or hard to follow? I don’t have a physics background.
Answer: Not at all. This course was designed with beginners in mind. We cover the physics only to the extent needed to understand safety. No equations, no complicated jargon. Each topic is explained in plain, professional language, and you can re-watch any part at your own pace.
